The first soak
Bags barely inside, someone's already testing the water. The water wins.
Private hot spring resort · Los Baños, Laguna
Lumiera is a newly built private resort at the foot of Mt. Makiling — six air-conditioned rooms, a natural hot spring pool, and not a single stranger in sight. One group at a time. Yours for the night.
The idea
An easy getaway south of the Metro. When you book Lumiera, you book all of it — the hot spring pool, the six rooms, the kitchen, the videoke, the view. No shared corridors, no strangers at the pool, no waiting for a lane to open.
Family reunions, barkada trips, birthdays, quiet weekends — even a mass has been held here. If it matters enough to gather for, it fits.
The springs
The pool is fed with the naturally hot spring water Los Baños is famous for — warm when you arrive, warm at midnight, warm again before breakfast. No heater schedule. No cold hours.
The deep end sits around five feet; the shallow side around four, easing up along a gentle slope toward the steps. Little ones get their own corner — a separate kiddie pool and jacuzzi area, sized for splashing.
"They say Maria Makiling — the diwata who watches over this mountain — keeps her springs warm for visitors she favors." As told around Laguna · we like your chances
The rooms
Every room is fully air-conditioned and has its own bathroom — plus one more off the common area, because forty people and one hallway should never have to negotiate.
Beds comfortably sleep up to forty. The resort holds fifty at the absolute most, and extra mattresses can be arranged for a small added charge. In between dips, the lounge and dining areas hold everyone at once — with Makiling and the greenery doing the wallpaper's job.
Gather
Bring the palengke haul. The kitchen comes with cookware, a refrigerator, freezer, and stove — and the ihawan is waiting outside for whoever claims tong duty. After dinner it's a coin toss: videoke until someone finally lands the birit note, or ping pong until someone demands a rematch.
Everything below comes with the booking — the house list, in full.
Nightfall
This is the hour Lumiera was named for — steam catching the light, Makiling fading to a silhouette, the pool glowing like a lamp left on for you. No shared-resort curfew. No staff waiting to close. Soak at midnight, sing at one, sleep when you're sung out.
Postcards
Four moments guests keep coming back for — sketched in gold and spring water. The next batch of postcards gets written by your group.

Whoever holds the abaniko holds the power. Dinner tastes like charcoal and bragging rights.
Somewhere past midnight, the ballad archive opens. The mountain hears everything and tells no one.
Mist on the ridge, kape on the sill, and a checkout time that respects your sleep.
Your stay
Check-in lands between 2:00 and 6:00 PM, depending on the day's schedule. Whatever time you start, check-out the next day is simply two hours earlier — a full 22 hours at the resort, every single booking. The window slides; the hours never shrink.
